Day 7: Design

Saturday, the seventh day, was the last day of the creation week. The world stood perfect and complete—God’s original design for our planet. Genesis 2:1-3 gives us this picture: “Thus the heaven and the earth were finished…and on the seventh day God ended His work…God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it.” Our Creator set aside this last day of the creation week so we would take time to appreciate all He has given us and be drawn back to Him. In the busyness of our daily lives it’s easy to push Him to the side as we try to stay on top of our demanding schedules. This last day of the creation week has been set aside for us to reconnect with our Creator and remember His original design for our lives.

I sincerely invite you to discover for yourself the blessing of setting aside the seventh day to rest and reconnect with your Creator.

SUMMING IT UP

On the last day of the creation week, our planet stood complete. A perfect rendering of our Creator’s original design for our world. On this day the Creator ended His work and blessed the seventh day as a time set aside for us to remember the perfection of His design for our lives. A day to be drawn back to Him.
